No Food Tent Today – Please make sure rowers eat breakfast before they arrive and have a waterbottle, snacks and lunch (if they will want one before the end of the event) packed. A concessions/snack bar with healthy beverages and food will be open.

Location: Forest Hills Central High School 5901 Hall St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546
Drive:
– From EGR: 15 Minutes.
– Rowers need to be in the gymnasium no later than 7:15 am
– Usually students may not drive themselves to out of town regattas, and must drive with their parents/guardians or self-arrange a carpool with another family. Our Forest Hills Central Spring Sprints event has been okayed by the Athletic Department to allow families to give their athlete permission to drive themselves. We as a club do not organize carpooling or this type of travel. At this time, this is the only Spring event allowing this. If you wish to give your rower permission to drive themselves to the Forest Hills Central Spring Sprints event, fill out the waiver linked below, checking the third checkbox and writing your athlete’s name in the blank. Please forward the completed form to: headcoach@egrcrew.com by 5pm Friday, March 21st.. EGRHS Activity/Transportation Consent Waiver

• Please dress (and make sure your athletes dress) for the weather. It is looking like a high of 50 degrees on Saturday and although dry, a high chance of windchill that can raise the risk of hypothermia, so between races: Waterproof/windproof outer layer (rain coat, rain paints, boots) with warm layers underneath, hats/gloves.
• For racing: Splash jackets, sweatshirts, hats, leggings/tech shirts, unis. Take water proof layers into the boat until they're ready to head into the starting area. Students may race up to four times, and it is recommended to have multiple sets of dry gear, dry socks, etc.
