Parking and venue access
- Spectator parking will be in the Maple Beach Parking Lot
- Potowotomi Parking (includes parking on grass) for 750 cars and easy access path to Maple Beach.
- Orchard Parking Lot / Toboggan Access permitted only during daylight hours for 70 cars.
- No parking at Marina/Boat Rental Lot.
Fee: $10/day/vehicle entry fee
Drop-off:
Turn into the Maple Beach parking lot and follow attendants' instructions.
- Maple Beach Parking Lot: Spectator parking at Maple Beach Parking Lot
- Potowotomi Parking: Includes parking on grass; easy access path to Maple Beach
- Orchard Parking Lot / Toboggan: Daylight hours only; about 70 cars
- Marina/Boat Rental Lot: No parking allowed

Conditions: Rainy, winds 15-25mph
For racing: Splash jackets, hats, leggings/long sleeved tech shirts, etc. Take waterproof layers into the boat until they are ready to head into the starting area.
Between races: waterproof/windproof outer layer with warm layers underneath, hats/gloves. Bring multiple sets of dry gear and dry socks.
Please make sure your athletes dress for the colder morning weather.
Travel and logistics
Travel mode: day trip
- About 2.25 hours from EGR due to slow moving traffic into the park.
- About 30 minutes from hotels, again due to slow moving park traffic.
- Students may not drive themselves to out of town regattas, and must drive with their parents/guardians or self-arrange carpool with another family.
- Rower drop off instructions: Turn into the Maple Beach parking lot and follow the parking attendants' instructions.

Spectator information
This is a typical spring race, which is a 1.5k sprint (multi-lane). Parents are not permitted in team areas near the trailer, dock, boats, or student tents.
$10/day/vehicle entry fee at Kensington Metropark.
