Travel & Logistics
Travel Mode: Day trip, roughly 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic
Students may not drive themselves to out-of-town regattas.

Spectator information/Rules
Spectators are not allowed on the three docks in front of the Rowing Center.
Spectators are welcome to observe along the Culver Academies’ shoreline, which extends along the northeast shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, parallel to the final 1500m of the course.
There are no public viewpoints of the first 2500m of the course.
Spectator seating and tents can be set up between the path and the lake, but not north of the path (due to cross country meet).
Packing Lists
Use this checklist to make sure both you and your athlete are prepared. Label everything with your rower’s name to avoid lost and missing items.
Please review the Crew 101 Gear Guide for essential rower and parent items.

Weather
Expected to be 55 /67° and sunny
Looks like it will be a beautiful day. Make sure your rower has sunscreen and layers as it will be cool in the morning. It is Parent’s Weekend at Culver and we will not have space in the boathouse except to use the bathrooms so please plan your clothing accordingly. Tents and tarps will be provided for the rowers, but not the parents.
Food & Nutrition
No Food Tent Today: Please make sure rowers eat breakfast before they arrive and have a water bottle (or two if they want to leave one at the trailer), snacks and lunch packed. We will be providing snacks (donated) as well. There are not as many quick and easy food options at Culver, so make sure to pack ahead of time.
Other Helpful Info

- Water Fountains: Located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the rowing center
- Public Bathrooms: Located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the rowing center
- Cross Country Meet: They occasionally touch off a cannon to start these races, so… don’t freak out.
